Leslie Greene

Operations Director

Leslie Greene is a proud Native of Washington, DC. Her early years were spent in the Kenilworth/Paradise neighborhood in Northeast DC. At the age of 8 years old, her family moved to the Petworth area of DC (also known as Uptown). She was educated in the DC Public School system from K-12. She has been married to her husband, another Native Washingtonian for 30 years.  They have two daughters.

Leslie officially started her activism about 25 years ago where she worked with a few community leaders, the Congressional Black Caucus, Nation of Islam, amongst others. She has always been for the community. She was born in the famous Freedmen’s Hospital, now called Howard University Hospital, located in Washington, DC. This is why she often says she knows she was meant for activism/community work.
